Lenka Padysakova Hosts When Fashion Meets Hollywood

Hollywood, California Jun 23, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Over 50 guests from the film industry, Hollywood costume design community, and fashion world gathered Saturday night at the Czech Consulate in Westwood for When Fashion Meets Hollywood, an exclusive event hosted by acclaimed costume designer Lenka Padysakova. The evening spotlighted Padysakovas innovative work on the upcoming feature film Off the Grid, as well as her signature fashion line, and featured a panel discussion with three of the movies actors: Talia Asseraf, Tana Ireland, and Daniel Farag.

The event opened with welcome remarks from Consul General Jaroslav Ola, who emphasized the importance of international collaboration and supporting Czechs and Slovaks in Hollywood.

Following the screening of the Off the Grid movie trailer, Padysakova led a dynamic panel discussion with Asseraf, Ireland, and Farag. The actors discussed the critical impact of costume design in film production, sharing how Padysakovas creative vision helped shape their characters and enhance the storytelling on screen. Lenka has an extraordinary ability to see costume through the actors lens, building character from the inside out rather than simply designing clothing, which is why great costume design is essential to an honest performance, said Asseraf.  Producer Kipp Tribble shared, This was such a wonderful presentation of Lenka's stellar work on "Off the Grid." During the live discussion with some of our cast, Lenka provided great insight into how she collaborated with the cast to arrive at the costume choices, and also into how the costumes infused the actors' work. It was a great celebration of our film and we're excited for the world to see Lenka's creations when "Off the Grid" comes out on June 27th!

Padysakova, whose career as a costume designer spans major Hollywood productions and international film projects, expressed gratitude to the attendees and explained the importance of costume design in movies and television. Costume design is about more than clothes its about bringing film characters to life by helping talent find themselves in costumes, supporting the directors vision, and helping audiences connect with the story on a deeper level, said Padysakova. Her credits include working as the costume designer for the feature film The Ritual Killer starring Morgan Freeman and Cole Hauser, and as assistant costume designer for Apple TV+s acclaimed series Physical.

Guests enjoyed an evening of networking with film industry professionals, celebrity stylists and Hollywood creatives, underscoring the essential role of costume design in modern filmmaking and the growing influence of international designers in the movie and fashion industries.
