Dr. Franklin is a board-certified urologist with a strong procedural background and a distinguished clinical and academic career. A graduate of Baylor University, he earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri Columbia School of Medicine and completed both his general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics.
With experience spanning both civilian and military medicine, Dr. Franklin previously served as a Staff Urologist and Major in the United States Air Force at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base. He most recently practiced at Asheville Urological Associates in North Carolina and currently provides locum tenens coverage at hospitals and surgery centers across multiple states.
Dr. Franklin brings advanced expertise in minimally invasive procedures, including sacral neuromodulation, and has presented research at national and international conferences such as the Société Internationale d'Urologie and the American Society of Clinical Oncologys Genitourinary Cancers Symposium. His clinical research has also been published in the World Journal of Urology.
